A Conversation with Richard Eder

For our season opener, we’re excited to welcome Richard Eder, Pulitzer Prize winning book critic, film and theater critic, and 20-year foreign correspondent for the New York Times, Boston Globe and Los Angeles Times.

We'll talk with Richard about his infamous interviews with Fidel Castro in 1964 and his clandestine meeting with Prince Juan Carlos of Spain, orchestrated as the nation tipped its scale from dictatorship to democracy.

Of course, we'll look at Richard's storied career as a critic for the New York Times, Globe and LA Times — continuing to present day.

You can be sure that Werner Herzog will come up as topic — Richard profiled the director for New York Times Magazine.

Location:
Barlow's Restaurant, 241 A Street, Fort Point
Barlows will be serving drinks and $1.00 oysters.
The kitchen is open for appetizers
and dinner through 10 PM.
If you arrive early for dinner, ask to be seated for Conversations.
